Who is 4Ever-Green?

Mike Gillin, MBA

Since graduating from Penn State in 1991, with a degree in Accounting, I've worked the last 28 years for a diverse set of organizations. The companies I’ve worked for range from small family owned businesses to large publicly traded companies, such as Volvo Construction Equipment & Ingersoll Rand. At this point in my career I’ve decided that it’s time for me to work for myself and share my experience and skills to help you and your organization achieve your goals and objectives.

I started out as a General Accountant for a company in my hometown of Johnstown PA that manufactured and constructed ice rinks. After getting married in 1996, my wife and I moved to Chambersburg PA where I had an opportunity to work as a Cost Accountant at a company that manufactured road construction equipment. After 2 years in the Cost Accountant role I was promoted to Plant Controller. I worked in this organization for 10 years, through 4 ownership changes, with the last owners being a German organization by the name of Wirtgen GmbH. In 2017 the Wirtgen family sold their company to John Deere for $5.2 billion! During my tenure at Wirtgen I also attended Frostburg State University of Maryland earning my MBA in 2002.

I left Wirtgen in 2006 for an opportunity to work for Ingersoll Rand in Shippensburg, PA. After just 6 months at Ingersoll Rand, working as the Finance Manager of their Material Handling Equipment division, Ingersoll sold their construction equipment division to Volvo Construction Equipment. Once Volvo CE completed the acquisition I was promoted to the Global Cost Controller for the road construction division.

In May of 2010 my wife and I moved to Lititz PA (Lancaster County) as I took the role of Corporate Controller at Interface Solutions, a manufacturer of gaskets and shielding materials. I worked at Interface for almost 10 years managing 6 Plant Controllers, covering 7 manufacturing plants around the globe. I was also the key financial business partner for our VP of Operations. In 2014 I took my passion for continuous improvement to the next level and completed my Lean 6 Sigma Green Belt certification through Lehigh University..

At the end of 2018 Interface was acquired by Lydall Inc., a publicly traded company. After a year of intense integration work my role was eliminated due to consolidation of the finance teams. For the first time in my career as I stand at a fork in the road, I've decided to take the road less traveled. I've decided to start my own consulting business! I want to use all my years of experience and financial skills gained along the way to help you and your organization. I fully understand that my success hinges upon my ability to help you achieve your goals and objectives! I'm committed to making it happen, so contact me and let’s get started!
